Right now the theme with the kids is, where you find Liam you will also find Piper. She loves that little boy. If he’s sitting on the toy bike, she finds a way to eek an inch of seat to share with him. She wants to be close, to share in all his frustrations and successes, to teach him new words and sounds, and yes, even to devil him. :) It’s a wonderful and special process to watch as he learns his own independence from Piper and as she struggles to give it to him.
I pray for the kids multiple times a day that God will keep them safe and healthy and that this relationship will be a close one. I love them so much and it truly fills me to see how much they love each other. The other day, Liam got hurt and he pushed right past me to Piper's open arms where she hugged, listened, and then told him he would be all better. Talk about a beautiful moment.
Most of all, I’m thankful for a husband who provides for us and creates this life where I can raise our children and we don’t have to just put them in someone else’s hands and hope for the best. I get to giggle all day at their lunacy, and really soak in these beautiful years that are not easy but loads of fun.
